Animal welfare advocates can support legislation that would ban declawing in California
by submitting comment letters
no later than April 16, 2019

The bill introduced by Assemblymember Bill Quirk will be heard in the Business and Professions Committee on April 23, 2019, but Comment Letters have to be processed a week ahead of the meeting. If passed, the legislation will prohibit the unnecessary and harmful practice of declawing in California.
