AAFP Will Stop Declawing in its Certified Clinics –

January 1, 2021 – The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) announced a new policy ending elective declawing procedures for cats in all of its AAFP Certified Cat Friendly Practices. This announcement follows the AAFP’s 2017 Position Statement that strongly opposes declawing of cats as an elective procedure.
