Arizona Anti-Declaw Bill Re-Introduced by Representative Amish Shah, M.D. –
February 2, 2021 – The Arizona Anti-Declaw Bill, HB 2626, was introduced by Arizona State Representative Amish Shah, M.D. on February 2, 2021. It is similar to his previous bill first introduced in 2020 and similar to Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal‘s Anti-Declaw bill, which was enacted as the first Anti-Declaw Law in the nation in 2019.
The hearing for the bill and has not yet been rescheduled.
Anti-Declaw Bills are active in California, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Nevada in 2021 (with more bills that possibly may be introduced this year).
UPDATE March 1, 2021: The hearing for the bill is unlikely to be scheduled in the current session.
