Rhode Island Reintroduces Companions Bills to Ban Declawing–

January 10, 2024 –
Rhode Island legislators have reintroduced House and Senate bills to prohibit declawing in the state. The 2024 Senate bill is S2007 and the House bill is H7052 . The primary sponsors of the bills are Senator Melissa Murray and Representative William O’Brien.

Paw Project plans to support the bill, along with HSUS and local animal protection organizations.
